In Uganda, our Water for Life team have been busy refurbishing boreholes to bring clean water to communities in the Nakasongola District. This district is one of the hottest and driest regions found in central Uganda, so access to clean water is crucial. A survey report that we conducted indicates that many water sources in the region have either dried up or are broken, meaning they have been redundant for at least 2 years. Many communities in the region have been struggling to access safe and clean water. Thanks to our donors, we have been able to refurbish 18 boreholes, enabling communities to enjoy access to clean water again. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to the UPDF (Uganda People’s Defence Force) for the help that they provided.
